Exceptional Adventures is looking for volunteers for our New Year's 2012 Trip

 Dear Old Friends and New Friends,

Exceptional Adventures is looking for volunteers for our New Year's 2012 Trip on Saturday, December 31, 2011 -Sunday, January 1, 2012 (Overnight Trip).  You must be 18 years or older to volunteer. Volunteers travel at no cost. All meals, housing, transportation, and entertainment is taken care of by Exceptional Adventures!

Exceptional Adventures is a non-profit organization with over 33 years of experience providing vacation opportunities, events and monthly dances for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are 18 years of age and older.

This year our annual gala celebration of New Year's Eve will be held at the Hyatt Hotel Airport! This is our largest event of the year and it certainly is exciting! This trip features a grand banquet, dancing, luxurious accommodations, a commemorative gift,  special volunteer raffles, hats, noisemakers, and more! It is an enormous party and we will be using the entire hotel. We will serve a New Year's Day brunch before we depart for home.

This is a very exciting event for our guests and volunteers! We have a lot of volunteers that come every year because it is so much fun and rewarding! We have special volunteer raffles with prizes that consist of TVs, gift cards, DVD players, and more!

As a volunteer, your responsibilities would be to help our guests participate in activities by joining in with them as a friend, helping our guests get ready for this semi-formal event by fixing a tie, hair, or giving cologne, checking the water temperature before our guests enter the shower, being in a guest's room when they are in the shower in case they need any help, and dancing with our guests on the dance floor.

We have three pick-up points that volunteers can get the bus at. We have a pickup in Butler, North Huntingdon, and Green Tree.
