New staff and family members are welcome -

Exceptional Adventures is always recruiting new volunteers for the program. Persons working in community homes for individuals with mental retardation, professionals, college students preparing for human service fields and family members are welcome to call for information about volunteering. Volunteers receive the trip at no cost to themselves. Should a family member wish to accompany the guest, they are welcome to do so if space is available on the tour. Please call our office for price information on the tour that you select. The same deposit and cancellation restrictions apply to the family member as well. Some tours are not open for first-time staff.

AGENCY STAFF ACCOMPANYING GUESTS Agencies are welcome to send their own staff with guests that they register. These arrangements should be confirmed at the time of registration. Staff accompanying guests one-on-one has an increased cost. This cost is generally 2/3 of the guest's cost in addition to the guest's fee. Overnight tours could be higher depending upon the hotel arrangements. Staff accompanying four of their individuals has no additional charge. Staff wishing to accompany their own individual and three of Exceptional Adventures other guests are welcome to do so. However, that situation creates a problem if the agency guest cancels close to the tour date and we are then out the volunteer staff as well. Agencies making this arrangement should be certain of guest's and the volunteer staff's participation.
